A family of chickadees have made a nest in our first bird house! In this series you can see one calling for breakfast and the other delivering. To achieve similar results, because they move very quickly, you'll want to use a fast shutter speed (these are at 1/640 sec). Careful you don't go too fast though, as that will increase your ISO, and that will introduce noise.
If you missed the Strawberry Moon this morning, you may have another chance to see it tonight.
The shot above was taken of the Strawberry Moon last year when it fell on the summer solstice which was an extremely rare event. A full moon coinciding with the summer solstice is a once-in-a-generation occurrence. Nikon D810, ISO 1000, 300 mm, f / 5.6, 1/4 sec |
